Dylan Keating has given himself a good opportunity to advance through the First Stage of DP World Tour Q-School after a third round of 69 at Golfclub Schloss Ebreichsdorf in Austria.
Keating moved into a share of 17th place on seven-under and he occupies the last spot with the top-19 and ties advancing to next month’s Second Stage in Spain.
The Seapoint amateur was solid again in round three with seven opening pars being broken by back to back birdies on the 8th and 9th holes as he moved into the red.
A bogey at the par-5 11th halted him slightly but he finished with a flourish to birdie the 13th and 15th holes to keep his hopes of progression alive.
The 24-year-old is the lone Irishman on the final week of First Stage qualifying events as he looks to join Thomas Higgins, Niall Kearney, John Ross Galbraith, Ronan Mullarney and Dermot McElroy who already punched their tickets to Second Stage via successful First Stage outings.
