It was a day for going low on the LPGA tour and Stephanie Meadow didn’t disappoint.

Meadow followed yesterday’s round of one under Par 72 with a sensational six under par 67 at the Pure Silk Bahamas LPGA Classic.
Currently ranked 258th in the world, Stephanie was hoping for a fast start to her 2017 season. Her current tour ranking of 148 [full field events are 144] should ensure she gets plenty of starts this season and a big focus this year will be improvement and consistency from her limited starts.

When we spoke to Stephanie last month she was clear on her 2017 goals “I would like to be in the position where I make it into the Asian swing [at the start of October],” she said.
“That’s top 60 on the money list and a realistic goal if I get to play in 17/18 events.
“I am a lot more confident now and if I get on a roll, you just never know.”
Stephanie was certainly on a roll and today as she  finished the day in a tie for 20th on -7 which is ten shots off the pace but climbed up 30 places from yesterday.
Brittany Lincicome still leads the way as she followed up her opening round 64 with a second round 65 that included an ace on the Par 3 12th hole. Lexi Thompson is in solo second after she broke the course record carding a flawless round of -12 , 61 that included ten birdies and an eagle.
