Castlebar Golf Club and Courtown Golf Club have been crowned the 2026 champions of the Vision Ireland HolmPatrick and Granard Cups following the All-Ireland Finals at Mullingar Golf Club.
The historic competitions, supported by Flogas Ireland and The K Club Golf, brought more than 120 clubs from across Ireland together in support of Vision Ireland and people living with sight loss.
Eoin Henshaw and Michael Kilcourse of Castlebar produced an outstanding performance in the HolmPatrick Cup final, finishing with 48 points to claim one of the most prestigious trophies in Irish club golf.
In the Granard Cup, Courtown’s Lynne Copeland and Emilia Wielocha recorded 44 points to take the title.

The HolmPatrick Cup dates back to 1932, when the trophy was donated to Vision Ireland by Edina Conyngham, Baroness HolmPatrick and granddaughter of the Duke of Wellington. It has since become one of Ireland’s longest-running charity men’s club competitions.
The Granard Cup followed a year later in 1933. Its origins can be traced to a group of golfing women who set out to provide a Home Teacher for people who were blind in every county in Ireland. The Countess of Granard supported the initiative at a time when funding for services for people with sight loss was urgently needed.
More than 90 years later, both competitions continue that tradition, bringing golfers from clubs across the country together to raise funds and awareness in support of Vision Ireland.
This year’s regional finals were hosted by Woodstock, Millicent, Donabate and Athenry Golf Clubs, before Mullingar provided the venue for the All-Ireland Finals.
The continued support of the host clubs, participating clubs and golfers ensures the competitions remain an important fixture in the Irish golfing calendar while contributing to Vision Ireland’s work supporting people who are blind or vision impaired.
As part of their prize, the winning pairs will travel to St Andrews for a three-night stay at the Rusacks Hotel. Their prize package also includes flights, transfers, accommodation and three rounds of golf.
Congratulations to the 2026 champions from Castlebar and Courtown, who now have a trip to St Andrews to look forward to.
