Six of last year’s bronze medal winning European Mid-Amateur teams will return looking for more silverware later this month.

Two experienced sides have been selected by Gillian O’Leary and Damien Coyne for the trip to Fohrenwald Golf Club in Austria.

Shannon Burke (Ballinrobe), Clodagh Coughlan (Douglas), Jessica Ross (Clandeboye) and Aideen Walsh (Lahinch) form the women’s side once again.

There are two changes for the men, with Bridgestone Order of Merit winner Gerard Dunne (Co Louth) and David Howard (Fota Island) retained, while Keith Egan (Carton House) and David Kitt (Athenry) have been added.

Spain will be looking to defend their crown in the men’s championship with France the reigning champions in the women’s event, with the action getting underway on 9 September.
