Áine Donegan will be fighting on both fronts in the final round of the Darius Rucker Intercollegiate at Long Cove Club.
Donegan carded a second round of 70 to move into a share of 7th place on the individual leaderboard on one-over, just three shots behind Kendall Todd.
As the Lahinch star chases her first individual collegiate title, her LSU team are also right in the mix to lift the team crown.
LSU are in third place on a combined score of nine-over, four shots behind Arkansas.
Donegan, who is set for the pro ranks later this year, started well with back to back birdies on the fifth and sixth holes to turn in 34. Successive bogeys on the 10th and 11th dropped her back to two-over for the tournament but she called with a birdie on the par-3 13th and finished well with five pars to keep her chances alive later today.
Augusta National Women’s Amateur bound Beth Coulter is back in a share of 54th place on nine-over with her college team Arizona State sitting in fourth place on the team leaderboard.
Meanwhile, at the Puerto Rico Shootout, Tramore’s Anna Dawson opened with a bogey free round of 70 to sit in fifth place on two-under-par.
