Highest Single Hole Score

13 – Tom Weiskopf posted a 13 (Five balls into Rae’s Creek) at the 12th hole in 1980.  Two years earlier in 1978, Japan’s Tommy Nakajima had a 13 on the 13th in putting two balls into the water, plus two additional penalty strokes: one when Nakajima’s ball landed on his shoe when he tried to play it from Rae’s Creek, and another when his club hit the water as he handed it back to his caddie – ouch!

Highest Single Round Score

106 – Billy Casper 1st round 2005.  It was the 1970 Masters champion final round and the then 73-year-old withdrew after the round without handing in his scorecard.

How Many Holes-in-One at the Masters

33 – Including Tommy Fleetwood (16th in 2021) and Corey Conners (6th in 2021)

The Holes With the Most & Least Aces

23 – The par-3 16th (Rosebud) has yielded 23 aces with the first by amateur Ross Somerville (145-yard, mashie niblick) in 1934, and the last by Tommy Fleetwood (170-yard, 9-iron) in 2021.

1  – The par-3 4th (Flowering CrabApple) has yielded just one ace and that was by Jeff Sluman (213-yard, 4-iron) in 1992

11 – Anthony Kim, 2009 second round.  He also posted two bogeys & a double bogey in his 65.

28 – Jordan Spieth winning the 2015 Masters.  Also, his 64 was the lowest round by a Masters champion.

The Most Consecutive Masters Rounds Under Par

Tiger Woods – 10 rounds.   From the third round in 2000 through the final round in 2002.  Woods won the green jacket in 2001 and 2002, after finishing fifth in 2000. His scoring average for those 10 rounds was 68.5.

Making The Most Masters Halfway Cuts In Succession

Jack Nicklaus made 37 cuts from 1960 to 2000.  Nicklaus played in 47 Masters from his debut in 1959 and his last in 2005.  He missed the cut in 1959, 1967, 1994, 2001, and then from 2003 to 2005.  He withdrew from the 1983 Masters.

How Many Records Did Tiger Woods Set Or Equal In Winning The 1997 Masters

27 – Including the biggest winning margin (12 shots) and setting a then-new 72-hole record of 18-under-par while the 44 million US viewers who tuned in remains the biggest in US golfing history.
