World-class golf, free golf buggies and accommodation at one of Lisbon’s most chic new hotels all feature in the new 2021 spring breaks unveiled by Orizonte – one of Portugal’s largest golf management companies.
Golfers can put the misery of this year behind them and enjoy an array of outstanding facilities on and off the course when they stay at the Aroeira Golf Resort – recently named as one of Continental Europe’s top 50 golf resorts – with four-night, three-round packages available for €397 per person.
Dubbed the ‘Wentworth of Lisbon’ by many observers, Aroeira – 25km south of Lisbon – is one of Portugal’s most iconic golfing venues and is a two-time host of the Portuguese Open. Bookable from March 1 until May 31, 2021, the stay-and-play breaks feature rounds of golf on Aroeira’s two 18-hole championship courses – Aroeira I and Aroeira II – and bed-and-breakfast accommodation at the recently-opened Aroeira Lisbon Hotel.
Located on the stunning Aroeira estate, the Aroeira Lisbon Hotel provides the ultimate in chic modern design, including 68 bedrooms and suites, an outdoor pool, a spa and a choice of five bars and restaurants, and offers easy access to the many golden sandy beaches in the Costa Azul region.
Golf-buggy hire, one clubhouse lunch and a welcome bottle of wine are also included, while golfers can upgrade to a package featuring free drinks from 5.30pm-11.00pm for an extra €26 per day.
Orizonte provides golfers with the opportunity to play five of the leading courses in close proximity to Lisbon in the stunning Costa Azul, together with exceptional value for money on a wide range of accommodation options.
In addition to Aroeira, golfers can also experience the acclaimed layout at Quinta do Peru Golf & Country Club and the two courses at Ribagolfe – regarded as some of the finest in the Lisbon region and previously described as the ‘Valderrama of Portugal’.
