The Island’s Paul McBride rounded off a great week to grab a top-5 early season finish at the MENA Tour’s Ghala Open in Oman.
The Dubliner bettered his 67 of round one with a six-under par 66 on day three and if it wasn’t for the 73 in between, who knows how good it could’ve got for McBride.
In the end, he had 2,850 reasons the smile, and more, given the manner of his blemish free six birdie final round salvo as he looks to take a leap in his professional development on Tour.
McBride’s 10-under par 54-hole total finished six shots back of England’s Bailey Gill and was the best the Irish could muster by a distance with Portmarnock’s Conor Purcell (71,72,70) just outside the top-30 at three-under par.
CHAMPIONS!!
