The four provincial winners of the Irish Girls’ Interclub; Lahinch, Bangor, Co. Sligo and Royal Tara, will hope to become National Champions as play gets underway at Killarney Golf Club.

Maebh McLoughlin, Anna Flanagan and Sophie Reynolds of Co. Sligo, overcame their Enniscrone counterparts for the second year running in the Connacht finals at Ballinrobe earlier this month. They now face the Ulster Champions Hannah Boyd, Lucie McNaught and Georgia Stevenson from Bangor in the All-Ireland semi-finals.

The Munster Champions Lahinch are in a unique position as they aim to follow in the footsteps of their club mates and All-Ireland Senior Cup winners. The team of Siun McInerney, Kate O’Meara and Isabelle Banim lifted the Munster pennant at Blarney. They face Leinster Champions Hannah Guerin, Sophie Sharp and Niamh Carroll who beat their club mates, Royal Tara (B), in the Leinster Final.

The two semi-finals start at 8.30am on Thursday morning with the Irish Champions being crowned later that afternoon. All spectators are most welcome.
