A final round 73 was enough to secure English teenager, Frank Kennedy victory at the Irish Boys Under 14’s Championship at Greenacres Golf Club in Ballyclare.

Following a mightily impressive opening round 68, Kennedy entered the final round trailing overnight leader Eoghan Cassidy of Kinsale by one stroke.

Unfortunately, the occasion proved too much for Cassidy who posted final round 86 while Kennedy put together a solid closing round to win by two strokes from Belvoir Park’s Darcy Hogg.

Adam Challoner of Galway Bay and Adam Buchanan of Malone finished in tied third on a seven-over par mark.
