Munster end 16-year wait with famous Interprovincial win

Munster brought a 16-year drought to an end by defeating Ulster on the final day of the Interprovincial Championships at Mount Wolseley Hotel and Golf Resort.

Munster defeated their northern rivals 5-3 with Douglas’ Clodagh Coughlan playing a starring role once more, ending the three day tournament with an immaculate five point record.

Meanwhile in the Girls competition, Leinster proved too good for Connacht, hammering the western province 7-1 to claim a fifth consecutive title, with Munster grabbing second place.
