Supporters are being urged to avail of FREE Park & Ride shuttle services when the second Rolex Series event on the 2019 Race to Dubai calendar, the Irish Open rolls into Lahinch next week. 

The 2014 Ryder Cup winning captain Paul McGinley will host the event, with tens of thousands of fans expected to descend on the County Clare links to catch a glimpse of the likes of Jon Rahm, Martin Kaymer and Shane Lowry. 

All public parking will be located at the Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride facilities to ensure minimal disruption for Lahinch residents and assist with traffic flow. Fans are advised to turn off their satellite navigation systems and follow the appropriate signage to the Park & Ride sites.

The Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Park & Ride service will run from 7:00am to 8:45pm on Wednesday July 3, 6:15am to 10pm on Thursday July 4 to Saturday July 6, and from 6:15am to 8pm on the final day of play on Sunday July 7.  

The service will be free for all spectators, with visitors travelling to Lahinch who do not plan to attend the golf also permitted to use the Park & Ride system free of charge.  

There will also be a free public bus services to and from the event for residents of both Ennistymon and Liscannor from 7:00am to 8:45pm on Wednesday July 3, 6:15am to 10pm on Thursday July 4 to Saturday July 6, and from 6:15am to 8pm on Sunday July 7.  

With fans able to easily walk between the course and the popular tourist town of Lahinch, spectators are advised to avoid driving into the town, where there will be several additional traffic regulations and parking restrictions in place. 

Restrictions will be in place on the R478 Lahinch Town – Liscannor from 6am to 10pm on Wednesday July 3 to Sunday July 7, and the N67 Lahinch Main Street from 4pm to 9pm on Friday July 5 to Sunday July 7.
