It’s that time of the year again, Santa is checking his lists and friends and families are thinking of what to buy for their loved ones.

This year we’d like to ask you to take a minute to consider not just what you’re buying, but where you’re buying it from.

Yes, there are plenty of deals online and that’s a pretty convenient way to do things these days, but think about what that’s doing to your local community and particularly to your local PGA professional.

We’re not saying that you should only buy local, but if you make a conscious decision to buy say 20% locally you’d make a big difference in your community and you’d be supporting people who are always there for you when you need them.

Your local PGA Professional is facing into another hard winter and would welcome you with open arms into their shop. They’re usually happy to do a deal with you, have you as a customer and you’ll be making a positive contribution not only to your local area but to the game you love (not to mention keeping the golfer in your life happy).

So please, take a minute to think about where your hard earned Euros are being spent over the coming weeks and try to support local businesses wherever you can.
