In recent years we have seen Padraig Harrington show off his kicking skills on the famous 16th hole at the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Even into his 40s he still has a solid right peg.

Well new footage has emerged  of a memorable game in Croke Park during Harrington’s schoolboy years and it’s a classic.
Na Fianna GAA club posted footage of an old Dublin Colleges’ final between St Vincent’s and Colaiste Eanna with Harrington coming up against Dublin legend Dessie Farrell.

After scoring a few points for Colaiste Eanna, the three-time Major winner managed to take down the Croke Park crossbar with a 45 !!

Harrington’s effort was enough to rattle the crossbar sufficiently so that it fell.
Harrington and Dessie Farrell have had a good old twitter discussion today about this rare moment being relocated after so many years.

Stay ahead of the game. Subscribe to our newsletter to get the latest Irish Golfer news straight to your inbox!
