There a first time for everything and anyone who travels as much as European Ryder Cup Captain, Padraig Harrington can expect a few hiccups along the way.

Though bizarrely for Harrington, as he revealed on Twitter, for the first time in 32-years he has arrived for this week’s  D+D Czech Masters in Prague without his golf clubs.

Who knows how many times Harrington has crossed ‘The Pond’ to tee-up but not once have his tools of trade not been aboard the same flight.

Well, it’s now happened and Harrington’s let the world know.

The Dubliner tweeted: “1st time in 32 years of traveling that my clubs have failed to arrive on the way to a tournament.

“Strange as it was a direct flight and I checked in 3 hours early. How lucky am I?”

Harrington joins fellow Irish players Paul Dunne and Gavin Moynihan competing this week on the Albatross course in the Czech capital.
