Lahinch golfer Áine Donegan was the main mover for the Irish after the second round of the Espirito Santo Trophy at Abu Dhabi Golf Club on Thursday.

The Clare woman carded a solid round of 70 in difficult conditions to rise up to T37 and on level par in the individual leaderboard, boosting Ireland’s team score as a result.

Douglas’ Sara Byrne shot 75 today and she is back down to T30 in the individual standings, on -1, with Beth Coulter on +4 and T59.

The Irish are on -4 and 13th in the overall team leaderboard but just nine shots behind the three-way tie for the lead, with two rounds of action remaining.
