Time is running out to book for the 2019 Newry, Mourne & Down Summer Trophy, which takes place from the 14th – 16th of August with only limited spaces remaining..
Open to ladies and gents and played over three of the regions best golf courses, the Newry, Mourne and Down Summer Trophy is one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in Ireland and finishes with a flourish on the fairways at Royal County Down.
The tournament is played at Spa Golf Club (Day 1), Ardglass Golf Club (Day 2) and the final day is at the famed Royal County Down Golf Club. The Euro 250 event entry fee includes a welcome drinks reception on the first night, 3 days of golf, daily and overall prizes in gents, ladies and seniors categories and a gala dinner with entertainment on the final night at the Slieve Donard Hotel.
There is no question that the tournament is excellent value for money and a great way to mingle and meet with golfers from all over Europe. It’s also great fun to participate in and with a total prize fund in excess of £3,000 including daily prizes for category winners and overall cumulative prizes, there is the opportunity to enjoy some great golf, great ‘craic’ and relax in the friendly surroundings of the Newry, Mourne & Down District.
The event is run on a singles stableford format which combines daily and cumulative scoring to decide the eventual overall champions.
On the final day, ALL participants will take to the Championship Links at Royal County Down which has been called by many the best golf course in the world….so what’s not to like!
