Paula Grant kept up her solid form at the Welsh Ladies Open and is the best placed Irish player in tied 8th.

Grant added a 75 to her first round 73 to take her total to +2 which is 7 shots off the lead held by Scotland’s Hannah McCook who holds a two stroke advantage over second placed Sophie Lamb from England.

Lisburn’s Grant had a mixed bag of scores which included 3 birdies, 3 bogeys and a double and is left with a lot of ground to make up in tomorrow’s final round to challenge.

Of Ireland’s other representatives, Shannon Burke is just one stroke behind Grant on +3 having also returned a 75 today and she is in tied 12thplace while Milltown’s Georgia Carr is in tied 22ndon +5.

Elisa Corcoran from Grange squeezed into the last round on the mark in tied 47thplace as the Top 50 and ties made it to the final round. Unfortunately Hermitage’s Canice Screene battled hard but just missed out as a 79, added to her opening 81 put her one shot outside the cut.
