Warrenpoint Golf Club is proud to announce the return of its Senior Scratch Cup on Sunday September 13th. This event promises to attract several of Ireland’s top amateur golfers.

Tee times will commence with a shotgun start at 08:30 am and the competition will be played across 36 holes with cash prizes available for the top performers.

The winner of this prestigious competition will come away with £750 with money being handed down as far as fifth place while there will be £100 available for the best score in round one, round two and the best nett score.

Warrenpoint Golf Club History:

The club has produced several top players over the years with JW Hulme, JL Bamford, Ken Stevenson, Paddy Gribben, Ronan Rafferty, Raymond Burns, Gary McNeill, Jim Carvill and Colm Campbell Jnr all playing for Ireland at senior Level, with Rafferty, Burns and Gribben representing Ireland & Great Britain in the Walker Cup. Rafferty also represented Europe in the Ryder Cup.

Alison Coffey also brought great honour to the Club over the years, and played in the Curtis Cup in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania.

Warrenpoint also won their first AIG Senior Cup title since 2008 last weekend.
