Following significant recent investment, Headfort Golf Club have launched two developments that further enhance the Club’s reputation as one of Ireland’s premier golfing destinations: the completion of an extensive bunker redevelopment programme on the Old Course and the official opening of a brand-new practice facility.
The bunker programme includes the introduction of new bunkers, reshaping of existing hazards, and improved drainage systems which will ensure year-round consistency and enhanced course conditions. The project carefully balanced modern design standards with the classic character of the Old Course, preserving its heritage while elevating the overall playing experience.
In addition to the on-course enhancements, the club has also unveiled its new driving range practice facility, marking a historic milestone. For the first time, members and visitors can enjoy a dedicated space either before or after their round, designed to support golfers of all levels. The facility provides the ideal environment to warm-up, refine technique, and work on all aspects of the game.
David Reilly, General Manager of Headfort Golf Club, said: “We are delighted to open our new driving range. It represents a significant investment in the future of the club and provides a fantastic new amenity for both members and visitors alike.”
Together, these developments represent a major investment in the club’s facilities and re-affirm Headfort’s commitment to continuous improvement and excellence.
