Colm Moriarty finished the PGA Professional Championship on a high at Ingrebourne Links with a share of eleventh place.
Moriarty closed with a final round of 70 for a three-under total, ten shots shy of eventual winner Harry Casey who won by three shots on thirteen-under after carding a 69.
The Glasson Lakehouse man birdied two of his last four holes.
Paul Eivers of Cahir Park was nineteenth on one-under while Joe Dillon closed with a 71 for a two-over total.
Tullamore’s Brian McCormack claimed 35th place on five-over after closing with a 72.
Reflecting on the win, Casey said: “I’m over the moon to win this championship. It’s been a brilliant week.
“Over four days and on such a great golf course, it’s been fantastic to be in contention with so many brilliant pros and to win this trophy means a lot to me.
“I split my time between coaching and playing because I still love playing and I still have ambitions. But this one was particularly a good one to win.”
With a fast start, Casey birdied holes 2 and 3, though a bogey at 4 briefly halted his momentum. He steadied the ship with a birdie two on 8, and all but sealed his victory with another birdie at the 14th, a 192-yard par-3.
