Over 1,000 amateur golfers are expected to take to the fairways in the 2025 Audi quattro Cup with nine regional events nationwide across the summer months, culminating in a National Final at the K Club with the winners progressing to represent Ireland at the World Final in November.

The first regional Audi quattro Cup event is set to kick off the competition on May 19th. The events are invitation only and  available to amateur golfers who have purchased an Audi vehicle*.

Since its inception in 1991, the Audi quattro Cup  has grown into an annual global golfing tournament taking place in 38 countries, with over 600 regional competitions and an incredible 70,000+ players worldwide. The top prize for each national winner is a once in a lifetime opportunity to visit and play at some of the world’s top golf courses, previous World Final destinations have included; Los Cabos, Mexico, Western Cape, South Africa, Dubai UAE to name a few.

The Audi quattro Cup is a team-based competition with each team consisting of two players and is open to Audi customers* and their chosen teammate.

The first six placed teams from each qualifier in the regional events go forward to the National Final to battle it out in the hope of taking out the top prize. This years’ Audi quattro Cup National Final is set to be an incredible experience in itself with the event taking place on the infamous Palmer North Course at the K Club which has hosted numerous Irish Opens, the Ryder Cup as well as European Opens and plenty of other championships over the years. The National final is an overnight affair featuring a Gala dinner for all competitors and special guest appearances as part of the entertainment on the night.

Last year at the Audi quattro Cup National Final was hosted at Portmarnock Hotel and Jameson Golf Links, the winners were announced following a fireside chat with Irish Rugby greats Garry Ringrose & Bundee Aki. The MC on the night Rob Kearney presented Audi Waterford regional Champions Patsy Farrell and Sean Murphy with their first place prize and they went on to represent Ireland at the Audi quattro Cup World Finals.

The 2024 World final was held at a top 100 golf course on the pristine Indian Ocean coastline of Oman, against a backdrop of the Hajar mountains. Patsy and Sean navigated a fiercely competitive playing field to secure fifth place at the World Final with a score of 74 points where Team Austria claimed the win with an impressive 86 points.

Commenting on the incredible opportunity for Audi customers, Deirdre Schwer, Head of Marketing and Customer Experience, Audi Ireland said: “The Audi quattro Cup is a highlight in our calendars each year, we are proud to be part of the world’s largest amateur tournament. We continually push ourselves to deliver memorable experiences to our incredible customers and we are very fortunate in Ireland to have some of the world’s best golf courses on our doorstep. We are very proud to have secured the K Club for our National Final this year, there will still be an air of excitement when our guests take to the greens just two weeks after the world’s greatest golfers have teed off from the same holes.  The Audi quattro Cup is an opportunity for us to thank our loyal customers by creating an experience that resonates, inspires and excites. I’d like to take this opportunity to wish all the players taking part this year good luck.”
