Beth Coulter followed up her career low round of 65 as an Arizona State Sun Devil with a final round of 70 to finish in fifth place overall at the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational in Hawaii.

A double bogey on the eighth hole ended her chances of running down fellow ASU teammate Ashley Menne who went on to win the individual title with a 14-under total, but Coulter’s four birdies – two either side of the double – saw her consolidate solo fifth position at -9, her highest individual finish since taking runner-up honours at the PAC-12 Championship as a Freshman last year.

Coulter, along with overall individual winner Menne and third-placed Patience Rhodes, was instrumental in seeing the Sun Devils cruise to victory in the team category, shattering the program record for 54-hole scoring vs. par by an incredible 17 strokes, eclipsing the previous mark of 25-under set back in 2022.

“This is a great win for us. It is two in a row, something we haven’t done in a while,” Coach Farr-Kaye reflected after the round. “I am so proud of this team and their resilience, grit, and belief in themselves. They have been working really hard for these moments.”

“I am really happy for them to get to celebrate this and be validated for how hard they have all been working,” Coach Farr-Kaye added. “We get to have some fun this afternoon, relax and go to the beach.”

“In a week we get ready to host the PING/ASU Invitational with a really great field,” Coach Farr-Kaye emphasized. “It is a busy time for the Sun Devils and we are really enjoying it.”
