Now in its eighth year, the KPMG Irish Kids Golf Tour has officially launched its 2024 schedule, rubberstamping its position as the premier junior development golf tour in Ireland.

Open to Girls & Boys aged 6-13, the tour will once again visit all four provinces in Ireland, with events taking place at top class venues in Killeen Castle, PGA National Slieve Russell, Strandhill and Fota Island, before culminating with the All-Ireland Trophy at Carton House in September.

The Irish Kids Golf Tour is dedicated to the development of the next generation of elite performers, whilst providing a safe, friendly, and professionally run environment in which they can hone their skills, make lasting friendships, and test their talents on some of the finest golf courses that the country has to offer.

Competitors can look forward to an unrivalled experience, complete with ‘goodie bags’, digital leaderboards which provide a ‘tour feel’, prizes in nine age categories and the prospect of playing some of Irelands best courses against some of the nation’s top junior golfers, it is guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience for all involved.

Golf club membership and official handicaps are not required, meaning that the events are open to all golfers who meet the age brackets, though players aged 11 and under are required to have a caddy. The competitions are strokeplay format, however the ten-shot rule (a player is required to pick up their ball and move on to the next hole if they haven’t holed out in nine) ensures that a steady pace of play is maintained throughout.

The age at which a player is on January 1 2024 is the age category in which they are eligible to compete for the entire year, and the season kicks off on March 24th with the Leinster Trophy at former Solheim Cup host venue Killeen Castle.

Irish Golfer are a proud media partner to these events so expect to see a lot about them in the coming months.

All five events can be booked online and are open to everyone, with the entries closing seven days before each event or when entry capacity is reached.
