3 Hammer's life size brachiosaurus, Roaryneckilroy

It’s not just the crowds at Wentworth who are getting behind Rory this week.  Visitors to the award-winning 3 Hammers Golf Complex have been pitting their wits against each other in a bid to name some of the new arrivals at the venue’s Adventure Golf course; Jurassic Creek.  The first official rename is for the life size brachiosaurus, which you can see from the main road, has recently been named Roaryneckilroy!

The T-Rex, which towers over the 18 hole adventure golf course, is now known as Henry after the 3 Hammers short course architect Sir Henry Cotton and the American palaeontologist Henry Fairfield Osborn who originally named this breed of dinosaur back in 1905!

“We’ve had a lot of fun going through the entries for these competitions. People have such vivid imaginations!” comments Ian Bonser owner of The 3 Hammers Golf Complex.  “Next in line for a name is the pterodactyl which sits on our waterfall and we can’t wait to see what people come up with for that!”

Uniquely, 3 Hammers offers a combination of golf experiences that caters to all levels.  With a Top Tracer driving range, short course and full PGA Staff, there is a clear pathway for people to learn and develop their game without the pressures of a formal golf setting.  Add to that the restaurant, shop and new outdoor eating area you have the perfect day out for all of the family.

“We are very proud of the community we serve and enjoy seeing them playing golf in all its formats,” concludes Ian.  “Bringing dinosaurs to Wolverhampton wasn’t something I ever expected to do, but it’s definitely enhanced the offer we have here and attracted new customers to 3 Hammers.”

The next prehistoric creature up for renaming is 3 Hammer’s pterodactyl. Let’s hear your best flying dinosaur related golf puns.
