Alison Taylor (Malahide) is second in the standings at the 2023 European Senior Ladies’ Team Championship as the action got underway in Spain and Czech Republic today.

The reigning European champion is also best of the Irish with Laura Webb (Royal Portrush) back in T11 while Gertie McMullen (The Island) is T21.

In the Men’s event at Royal Golf Club Marianske Lazne, Alan Condren (Greystones) and Jody Fanagan (Milltown) are 16th and 17th respectively with Noel Crawford (Mourne) back in 24th.

23 teams are competing for this year’s European Senior Men’s Team with 20 teams in the Ladies’ event. Germany are looking to defend their title in the Ladies’ event while Sweden are the reigning champions in the Czech Republic.

Ireland are third in the Men’s championship with Ladies’ back in fourth after day one.
