The Play in Pink campaign in aid of Breast Cancer Research continues to go from strength to strength at golf clubs around the country off the back of another record-breaking year in 2022.

The brilliant golf initiative, which sees clubs running Play in Pink days where players show up & play golf dressed in pink.  Some go all in on the outfit out while for others it’s a small token pink item but the meaning is the same…supporting the charity and helping raise much needed funds.

A whopping €447,000 was raised last year from events all around the country to support the research programme at the Lambe Institute, Galway; their ongoing vital work so important to so many of our lives and you can get your club involved by registering to host an event by CLICKING HERE.

You can also get involved by playing in one of the days as a member or a visitor and taking part in the nationwide push to support the NCBRI.

The money raised over the years is a testament to the generosity of the clubs involved and the golf industry as a whole. Clubs around Ireland have ran with the concept again in 2023 while Play in Pink was also the Official Charity Partner of the KPMG Women’s Irish Open at Dromoland Castle again this year, where fans and players alike were encouraged to don their finest pink attire on the Friday of the competition.

There have been a number of new clubs teeing up in pink already this year and although we may be reaching the end of the summer months, there’s still time to get involved in aid of this most worthy cause.

Far from just women golfers teeing up, the campaign has been encouraged by the number of juniors and men taking to the fairways in flamingo pink and who knows, with a big push between now and the end of the year, maybe Play in Pink can break another record before the season is out.

Congratulations to everyone for an amazing effort so far in 2023 and for more information on how to get involved with Play in Pink, visit www.PlayInPink.com
