The 61st staging of the All Ireland Father & Son sponsored by Dawson Jewellers came to an exciting end at Castle Golf Club on Sunday.

Peter & John Cosgrove from Castle defeated Kevin & Matthew Commins from Cloverhill in an absorbing final that was close all the way until the Cosgroves closed it out on 17th.

Peter & John Cosgrove became the first all Castle pairing to win this coveted title since Gerry & Rob Moran won in 2012.

Over 180 pairs, representing 74 clubs, entered the long-standing competition with ages ranging from 12 to 81.

Castle was in magnificent condition throughout the week and received very positive comments from players.

Ken McDonagh from sponsor Dawson Jewellers was thrilled to be associated with a tournament that, “builds and nourishes future talent, family relationships and values.”
