The team at Irish Golfer are looking to expand and we are seeking a digital content creator.
About the Role
Irish Golfer are looking for someone with a great eye for a story, who will create and publish engaging, quick-turnaround content daily.
The role requires a creative storyteller; someone with energy and who is passionate about content creation. The ideal candidate will have experience bringing ideas to life and executing impactful communication and social media campaigns that resonate with the target audience. Collaboration is key for success in this role and you will join a strong journalistic and golf oriented team. Flexibility is needed to work in this industry as it is reactive and requires evening and weekend work.
This is an exciting role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced content creation environment. The Digital Content Creator will produce video content, graphics and other digital content for all social media platforms as well as the Irish Golfer website and app.
What you’ll do:
- Reporting to the Digital Editor, you will create highly engaging content for YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok including daily reels and stories, graphics.
- Post to social media and keep up to date with all social media and digital best practice.
- Filming, editing, planning and posting content.
- Social media planning and monitoring.
- Work with the commercial team to produce content for clients.
If the following traits sound like you, you might be the right person for the job:
- You have a strong understanding of the social media and digital landscape.
- You are passionate about social media platforms and what they can deliver.
- You have experience with video editing software on mobile and laptop (Canva, CapCut) or similar software.
- You are a relationship builder with excellent people skills and a positive and ‘can-do’ attitude.
To apply for this role you must have either proven experience in a content creation role or on your own profile, so previous commercial experience in this area is not essential. A keen interest and understanding of golf is a distinct advantage but not essential. The role will involve predominantly working using an iPhone 14 Pro Max and MacBook which will be provided.
