Irish stalwart Laura Webb completed a wonderful four stroke victory at the Spanish International Senior Ladies Amateur Championship in Seville over the weekend.

Twice a winner of the Women’s Senior Open Championship, Webb signed off with a seven-over par 79 for a 19-under par winning tally.

Cairndhu’s East Berkshire convert posted rounds of 75, 81 and 79 for the 54-hole tournament, beating England’s Jackie Foster into second spot by four at Real Club Sevilla Golf.

As for the other Irish in the field, Portumna’s Suzanne Corcoran carded rounds of 83, 88 and 79 to tie 20th at plus-34 with Kate Evans in a share of 30th after a closing 84 and Mary MacLaren tied 58th following a final round 87.
