Moyvalley Hotel and Golf Resort in County Kildare have appointed Daniel O’Connor as the club’s new Head Professional. The 28-year-old joins the resort following his return to Ireland from Canada where he was Associate Golf Professional at McCleery Golf Course in Vancouver.

O’Connor, a former Paddy Harrington Golf Scholar at Maynooth University, completed his qualifications as a PGA Professional under the guidance of Kevin Grealy at Athlone.

Speaking about his appointment, O’Connor said: “I’m delighted to be joining the team at Moyvalley and I’m excited to take on this role. The practice facilities are some of the best around and with a growing membership there’s huge potential for the club and resort.”
