Aine Donegan and Valerie Clancy pitched in with individual wins to help the Indiana Hoosiers women’s golf team to a 3-3 tie with the Iowa Hawkeyes in the final pairing at the Big Ten Match Play Championship at the Innisbrook Resorts Island Course on Tuesday.
Lahinch’s Donegan, a freshman this year, took out Dana Lerner 3&2 with Killarney’s Clancy, who’s a junior at Indiana, enjoying a 2&1 win over Paula Miranda.
“I am proud of the girls for their fight today,” said interim head coach Emily Kuhfeld. “The team gained valuable experience being tested down the stretch, and we have a lot of valuable keys to take home with us.”
