PGA National Ireland Slieve Russell has once again teamed up with Lough Erne Resort for the annual Lakeland Golf Challenge 2022 – a competition offering amateurs the chance to play two of the finest inland courses on the Emerald Isle.
Taking place on June 9th and 10th, the 36-hole event is open to men and women and features a round of golf on both the award-winning Faldo Championship Course at Lough Erne Resort (June 9th) and at PGA National Slieve Russell (June 10th) – one of only a handful of PGA-affiliated courses around the world.
Costing €115 to enter per person, the competition will be played with a Stableford format (Ladies & Gents prizes) with thousands of euros of individual prizes to be won across the two days.
Live scoring and special accommodation rates will be available at both Lough Erne Resort and Slieve Russell by quoting ‘Lakeland Golf Challenge’.
Set just 90 minutes from Dublin and two hours from Belfast, PGA National Ireland’s championship course is regarded among Ireland’s finest parkland layouts. Home to LPGA Tour star Leona Maguire, the venue has hosted two European Tour events and is regularly ranked in the top five parkland courses in Ireland.
Designed by six time Major winner Sir Nick Faldo, Lough Erne Resort’s Faldo Course provides superb all year round playing conditions. The links-like fairways, true greens and spectacular Fermanagh Lakelands setting provides a stunning backdrop to the par-72 layout, and the waters of the Lough come into play on 11 of the 18 holes.
