On this week’s edition of the podcast there was only one thing to talk about, a Saudi-backed investment in the Asian Tour and what it means for the world of golf as we know it. LIV Golf Investments, the investing arm of the Saudi Arabian government, have announced Greg Norman as its Commissioner in a $200m 10-year commitment with 10 new Asian tour events set to hit the calendar in 2022. Exactly what implications will follow for golf’s existing tours remains to be seen but with the heads of current PGA Tour members expected to be turned by eye-watering sums of money, there is a siege coming for golf’s status quo so something’s got to give. We lay out the facts and ask the question, is this good for golf? As always, we hope you enjoy the listen. Don’t forget to subscribe and let us know what you think.
