This year’s 148th Open makes a historic return to Northern Ireland and Royal Portrush Golf Club in Antrim this July, 68 years after the first time back in 1951.

Now completely sold out, The K Club has partnered with Mastercard to offer two fantastic experiences for golfers to enjoy The 148th Open while also enjoying a championship golf experience on The K Club’s Arnold Palmer designed championship courses.

In the middle of one of the most electrically-charged seasons in a decade, on the 18th of July, the world’s greatest players will come to this island to play golf’s oldest championship, competing for the Claret Jug over the Dunluce Links at Portrush. This unique limited partnership with Mastercard means playing at The K Club will also give golfers the opportunity to witness this historic Major.

With two different golf experiences available at The K Club – one stay & play and the other golf only – when either of these is booked using a Mastercard or Maestro card, golfers will enjoy their golf experience at The K Club along with their tickets for The 148th Open. This way they can attend The Open in July and enjoy their chosen championship experience at The K Club at an earlier or later time that suits them, or alternatively purchase the offer as a gift.

The stay & play experience is for two nights at The K Club with full Irish breakfast each morning, a four-course evening meal in the Byerley Turk restaurant on one evening, plus a round of golf on both the Ryder Cup and the Smurfit courses during the stay with complimentary golf buggies and range balls for each round included. All of this with two tickets for The 148th Open 2019. The stay & play offer at The K Club in partnership with Mastercard is €520 per person sharing and must be booked using a Mastercard or Maestro card.

The golf-only championship experience is a round of golf on The Ryder Cup Course with lunch before or after the game in Legends at the Arnold Palmer Clubhouse, a K Club goody bag and the golden ticket to The 148th Open for €250 per person, an experience which must be booked using a Mastercard or Maestro card.

An opportunity to play the home of the 2006 Ryder Cup, 2016 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open and 13 European Opens on The K Club’s two magnificent golf courses – one of Europe’s most spectacular courses, The Ryder Cup Course and the dramatic inland links-style Smurfit Course – this partnership with Mastercard is available to book at The K Club from May 20 for one month only, with dates to stay and play from May 21 to August 31, 2019.
