Anna Foster battled brilliantly to a tie for fourth place on a brutal final day in Germany, as Shannon Tan got over the line at Green Eagle Golf Courses.

Foster mixed five birdies with three bogeys for a two-under-par 71 and a climb from 13th to fourth on a tough day for scoring. Lauren Walsh didn’t get anything going, as a one-over-par 74 left her in a tie for 26th place.

Singaporean golfer Shannon Tan captured her second Ladies European Tour title after winning the Amundi German Masters by a single stroke.

Tan established a big lead and despite the 21-year-old carding a three-over 76 on the final day of the €300,000 tournament, her nine-under-par 283 total was enough for victoey.

After opening rounds of 70 and 69, Tan fired a 68 on moving day to take the outright lead, with her closest competitor Hannah Screen from England, three shots behind.
