Stephanie Meadow will return home to Phoenix ready for work after a disappointing weekend showing at the ISPS Handa Australian Women’s Open.

The Jordanstown professional returned a final round 76 at Grange golf club that included two double bogeys to finish in a lowly 68th at eight-under par.

It’s back to the drawing board for Meadow who injured her ankle in a fall down the stairs last week but rather than looking to excuses, she was instead pointing figures at those who can help her make a successful return to the LPGA Tour this year.

“Not the weekend I was looking for at all,” said Meadow. “Did not have my A game in Australia but I’m so glad to be back on the LPGA Tour. Thanks to ISPS Handa for another great event! Now time to go back to Phoenix. Hope you’re ready to work Terry Rowles and Dr Mike Kay because I’m beyond ready to get back to full form!

At the top, American Nelly Korda won the even by two strokes at 17-under par.
