Ryan and O’Briain split first place at Faithlegg Pro-Am

To celebrate its 25th anniversary Faithlegg held a celebration Pro-Am on Friday with Raymond Ryan and Neil O’Briain sharing top spot.

Ryan won this same tournament 15 years ago and the Thurles GC professional found his range again at the Co.Waterford venue.
With a shot-gun start in operation Ryan began his round at the seventh and collected birdies at the 13th, 14th, 18th, first, second and fourth. He also added three bogeys at the 15th, 16th and 17th.
O’Briain meanwhile, who started his round at the 17th with a birdie, recorded 15 pars and picked up two further birdies at the second and third.
Professional Tara Delaney (Carlow GC) guided her amateur partners of Maura O’Leary, Vera Harding and Mary Lewis to victory in the team event with 93pts.
