Gavin O’Neill romped to a five-shot victory at the Dutch International Junior Open as a final round of 69 saw him clinch the Boys title.
Teeing off with the lead after opening rounds of 73, 65 and 67, O’Neill put on a clinical display of front running as he reached fourteen-under-par leaving home favourite Abel Derksen in his wake. Mark Gazi took third place on eight-under while Darcy Hogg was sixth on five-under.
Malahide man O’Neill made a steady start with a birdie on the second being cancelled out by a dropped shot on the 5th. He fell one-over for the day after bogeying the par-4 12th, but he finished superbly to win in style. Birdies on 14 and 16 were followed by a grandstand eagle on the par-5 17th.
The teenager has been in fine form in 2026 with a fourth place finish Stateside on the collegiate scene while he was 15th on debut at the St Andrews Links Trophy.
