Just a week after notching his first collegiate title Stateside Killian McGinley punched his ticket to the Regional finals after he won the MAAC Championship by one shot in Lake Buena Vista.

McGinley carded rounds of 68, 65 and 77 for a six-under total.

The son of 2014 European Ryder Cup captain Paul, the Fairfield University senior entered the final round with an eight stroke advantage and carded two birdies, four bogeys and a triple on his way to victory in tough conditions on the final day.

McGinley became the sixth player from Fairfield to lift the McLeod Trophy while his University finished second in the team leaderboard.

Rounds one and two were routine sailing for the London born man who carded five birdies and an eagle in a four-under opening round before he blew away the field with a flawless seven-under 65.
