Paul Murphy continues to lead Ireland’s Faldo Series contingent despite a second round two-over-par 72 at the Grand Final in Abu Dhabi.

The Rosslare man had opened with an encouraging 69 in round one but struggled to replicate it on day two at Al Ain Equestrian Shooting & Golf Club.

He maintains his position in a tie for sixth spot on plus one for the tournament but is now a full six shots behind the leaders.

Royal Dublin’s Max Kennedy leads the way for Ireland in the Boys Under-18 section despite a six-over-par 76 in round two resigning him to eighth place.

While in the girls’ under-21 competition, Cork’s Rachel Thompson lies in a share of sixth spot on five-over-par after a 72 in round two.
