Portumna will face Ballybofey & Stranorlar in the final of the Irish Mixed Foursomes at Milltown today after both sides progressed at the expense of Lee Valley and Craddockstown.

There were wins for James McLoughlin and Rachel Madden, Damien Burke and Mary McElroy and Padric Cahalan and Anne Fahey as the Connacht champions Portumna eased past Cork side Lee Valley by four matches to one.

The Ulster qualifiers set their stall out early with a win in the top match for Freddie Wilson and Dolores Devaney (5/4) while Tony Griffen and Sharon Maloney and Edward Bradley and Margaret McConnell added the winning points in a 3.5 to 1.5 win.

The final gets underway this morning at the Dublin venue at 9.30am.
