Ryder Cup stars Patrick Reed, Robert MacIntyre, Francesco Molinari, and Sepp Straka have been confirmed for the 2026 Amgen Irish Open, with the quartet set to tee it up at Trump International Golf Links & Hotel from September 10-13.
They will join an already stellar field that includes defending champion Rory McIlroy, two-time Major Champion and two-time Amgen Irish Open champion Jon Rahm, and Major Champions and former Amgen Irish Open winners Shane Lowry and Pádraig Harrington.
With weekend tickets now sold out, fans can still experience Ireland’s national open with General Admission tickets available for the Wednesday Pro-Am and Rounds One and Two on Thursday and Friday.
The field also features former World Number One and Ryder Cup Europe Captain Luke Donald, alongside European Ryder Cup players Tyrrell Hatton, Rasmus Højgaard and Nicolai Højgaard, with Rasmus returning as a former Amgen Irish Open champion following his victory at Royal County Down in 2024.
Reed, the 2018 Masters Tournament champion, arrives in Ireland with significant momentum, currently leading the Race to Dubai Rankings Delivered by DP World after recording two victories, a runner-up finish and a further two top-ten results during an impressive 2026 season.
The American is a three-time Ryder Cup player and returns to the Amgen Irish Open having made his tournament debut at The K Club in 2025.
“I’m really looking forward to returning to the Amgen Irish Open and playing at Doonbeg for the first time. Ireland has such a rich golfing history and the fans always create an incredible atmosphere,” said Reed, a five-time DP World Tour winner.
MacIntyre was a key member of Europe’s victorious Ryder Cup teams in Rome in 2023 and New York in 2025, and has established himself among the leading names in the game.
The Scot is currently World Number 17 and a Rolex Series winner, having enjoyed success on both the DP World Tour and PGA TOUR. He has won three national opens – the Genesis Scottish Open, Italian Open and Canadian Open – and will be aiming to add another prestigious title to that collection when he returns to the Amgen Irish Open.
“The Amgen Irish Open is always a special tournament and I’m
Molinari, the 2018 Open Champion and a six-time DP World Tour winner, adds further pedigree to the field. The Italian was recently appointed Vice Captain for Europe’s Ryder Cup team by Captain Luke Donald, having played a key role in three European Ryder Cup victories as a player, including at Le Golf National in 2018 where he became the first European to win all five of his matches in a single Ryder Cup.
“I always enjoy coming back to Ireland,” said Molinari. “The Amgen Irish Open is a true test of golf and you have to adapt to whatever the conditions bring each day. I’m looking forward to a great week.”
Straka has continued to establish himself among the game’s leading international players, becoming the first Austrian to win on the PGA TOUR with victory at the 2022 Honda Classic before adding further victories to become a four-time winner on the circuit.
The Austrian, currently ranked World Number 26, will make his Amgen Irish Open debut at Doonbeg after representing Europe in the team’s victories in Rome and New York.
“I’m excited to play the Amgen Irish Open for the first time and experience Doonbeg. Ireland has such a proud golfing tradition and it’s always special to compete in front of passionate golf fans. I’m looking forward to the challenge of the course and being part of what promises to be a great week,” said Straka.
The Amgen Irish Open once again assumes a key position on the DP World Tour’s Global Schedule as part of the Back 9, which encompasses nine of the Tour’s most historic tournaments and national opens.
It features an esteemed roll of honour of champions, including Seve Ballesteros, Sir Nick Faldo, Bernhard Langer, Harrington, Lowry, McIlroy, Colin Montgomerie, José María Olazábal, Rahm and Sam Torrance.
