The KPMG Women’s Irish Open, one of the biggest and most popular events on the Ladies European Tour (LET), will move to Dun Laoghaire Golf Club in 2027, continuing the tournament’s remarkable growth and impact on golf in the nation.
With record Irish representation and ever-growing crowds at the championship, the event, which will take place from 2-8 August 2027, brings the top-tier tournament golf to South Dublin for the first time.
The move to the new Dun Laoghaire Golf Club on the 320-acre site at Ballynman Glen nestled at the foot of the majestic Sugarloaf Mountains, places the KPMG Women’s Irish Open within easy reach of Dublin city and the wider commuter belt, and organisers expect the accessible coastal setting to draw some of the biggest crowds in the event’s history.
The 27-hole layout designed by the acclaimed international golf course architect Martin Hawrtree hosted the Curtis Cup in 2016. Leona Maguire and some of her teammates who are now professionals, will be delighted to return and compete as professionals on this superb venue.

As two of the key sponsors, KPMG and Sport Ireland’s continued backing plays a crucial role in the growth of the event. The KPMG Women’s Irish Open has established itself as a key stop on the Ladies European Tour circuit since 2022, with players describing it as feeling “like a Major”. As a result, the Championship has been voted ‘Tournament of The Year’ in 2024 and 2025 by the players.
This move to Dun Laoghaire promises to bring the event to new heights, with more world-class golf, enhanced hospitality offerings, family-friendly entertainment, and an electric atmosphere for players and spectators alike.
Early bird tickets for the 2027 KPMG Women’s Irish Open will go on sale in due course, with U16s once again able to attend for free, ensuring the next generation is inspired by the very best in the women’s game.
