There are some things money can’t buy, such as your place in the history books, but there are plenty of things that Pádraig Harrington can buy with his winner’s cheque from the US Senior Open.
The now three-time winner – and four-time senior major champion having claimed the Senior Open in 2025 – earned $800,000 for his week’s work, and he has now earned over $10 million since joining the senior circuit in 2022 to go along with the $26.5 million he’s earned on the regular PGA Tour.
Stewart Cink, who’d won both of the previous senior major championships in 2026, won’t win an unprecedented grand slam but his consolation prize is $432,000, while Darren Clarke’s first top-10 finish at the U.S. Senior Open was worth almost $90,000.
Portrush’s Chris Devlin was the surprise package of the week, and though he faded on the final two rounds, the 51-year-old still picked up close to $50k for placing inside the top 20.
At the PGA Tour’s John Deere Classic, Chris Gotterup stormed through the field to secure his third win of 2026 and the $1.584 million lion’s share of the purse.
It takes his season’s earnings to $7.4 million and his total PGA Tour earnings north of $14 million having first earned his card in 2024.
A welcome return to form for Max Homa resulted in a near-million-dollar payout for the Californian, while Ben Kohles costly 18th hole saw his chances of victory slip and more than a million dollars go with it.
