Cormac Sharvin birdied his final hole to shoot a four-under 67 and take a one-stroke win over Cian Geraghty in the Clonmel Golf Club Pro-Am.
Nobody made more birdies than the Ardglass native who carded seven in total, with four of those coming on the front nine having started on the 10th and the most crucial one was the birdie on the par-5 ninth which saw him overtake clubhouse leader Geraghty who shot -3 in the morning wave.
Eddie Tracey, Paul Eivers and Colm Moriarty shared third place on two-under, while the quartet of Simon Thornton, Niall Kearney, James Quinlivan and Keith Shannon rounded out the top 10 as the only other players in red figures.
It’s the Elm Park man’s second victory of the campaign after winning in Beaverstown in May, but he’s not in the field to defend his Donegal Golf Club Pro-Am title this week in Murvagh as he’s set to play on the HotelPlanner Tour in France.
Simon Thornton continues to lead the Elavon Order of Merit, with Richard Kilpatrick in second and Colm Moriarty in third.
