Tyler Hogarty closed out with a three-under 68 to climb into a share of ninth place in the third and final round of the Clutch Pro Tour’s Caddy Comps Trophy at Seacroft Golf Club.
The England-based Irishman was one of just three players to break par in each of the three rounds, shooting matching one-under-par 70s in rounds one and two, before trading six birdies with three bogeys in the final round to make a move up the leaderboard and into the top 10 on the Order of Merit.
Dermot McElroy entered the final round tied for 10th but a level-par 71 saw him slip nine places and finish tied for 19th, while John Murphy shot a closing 72 to finish on level-par and Robert Brazill took one stroke less but finished one stroke further adrift on +1.
Englishman Joe Long entered the final round tied for third at -6 but carded a 67 to move to the head of the leaderboard and secure a two-stroke victory over fellow Englishmen Sam Potter and Joe Hopkins and Wales’ Jake Hapgood.
Paul McBride may have missed the cut by one stroke, but he remains in second place on the Order of Merit after his victory last week at Ashburnham Golf Club in Wales. Long, courtesy of his win this week, joins the Island man on 440 points, with OJ Farrell holding onto the top spot with just over a 16-point advantage.
