This coming week the new Northern Ireland Blind Golf Association Pro-am will get underway at Ardglass.

The event is on Friday, May 16th, 2025 and the inaugural £15,000 event is a welcome addition to the PGA Irish Region schedule and is sure to be a great day out on one of Northern Ireland’s most popular courses.

“We are delighted to be supporting the Northern Ireland Blind Golf Association (NIBGA) and having another great PGA event at such a great venue as Ardglass,” said Seamus McKibben, Tournament Operations Manager, PGA Irish Region.

“I’d like to thank the team at Ardglass with special mention to Paul Vaughan and his team, and to all the sponsors who have helped make the day possible and to help support NIBGA.”

A stellar line-up at Ardglass includes eight players in from the 2024 Order of Merit, including Ryder Cup star Philip Walton, Irish PGA Champion Niall Kearney plus up and coming stars like lefthander Liam Power and local club players led by Ardglass Head Pro Paul Vaughan.

The NIBGA Pro-am carries one of the highest prize funds for a one-day event in the region with £15,000 in the pot. The fun day will also include special amateur prizes for longest drive and nearest the pin plus three overall team prizes.

A charity draw will take place on the day for the chance to win fourballs at some of Ireland’s golf courses.

The action at Ardglass kicks off at 8:10am from two tees and the last tee time is 3pm.
