The ‘trip of a lifetime’ is something we all dream about, and Oroko Travel, Ireland’s only dedicated luxury tailored travel business, have been making those dreams come true since 2017.

Whether it’s an end of the world adventure in the Antarctica, gorilla trekking in Uganda, sun, sea, sand and splendour, or anything in between, Oroko Travel are at the cutting edge and not just because they’ve got a brochure to read from, it’s because they’ve been there, done that and if they haven’t bought the silk robe themselves, they’ve got partners who have.

“The purpose is to create those personalised holidays,” said Emilie Lynam, Marketing Manager at Oroko Travel. “Nothing we do is packaged, we present suggested holidays to our clients as a starting point, and then tailor the holiday to their needs and preferences. When a client comes to us, regardless of the destination, we can tailor an itinerary based around that. They have 24-hour service from our operations team and from our partners on the ground, so you’re always safe in the knowledge that we’re there any time.”

“Uganda, for example, is a very unique destination. It’s off the grid, very unexplored. But we have the travel specialists that have been on those holidays, that have explored Uganda. They know the best routes because when someone comes to us, we need to make sure that they know what they’re expecting and have their expectations met.”

Naturally, from a company that strives to provide the best luxury experiences, golf is high on the agenda. Whether that be golf specific holidays or a family trip with golfing excursions playing a minor part, Oroko Travel have the connections and the knowledge to steer you in the right path and the odds are high that they’ve got courses ticked off in destinations you’d never imagine.

“We’ve had people come to us and say, ‘look, my family really wants to go on this adventure holiday, and I would like to go golfing this year. What can we do?’” Lynam explains.

“From our knowledge and experience, we can suggest to those families looking for exceptional adventure and golf to consider a tailored holiday to Borneo, including a stay in our partner resort, Shangri La Rasa Ria. It has sensational golfing opportunities whilst you’re on a holiday in the wilds of Borneo jungles’, so there’s nothing that we can’t do. Everything is possible and we’ll make sure that it’s seamless from start to finish.”

And it is ‘start to finish’ and beyond. Among the personal touches that include an Oroko Concierge who will arrange any and all restaurant bookings, spa treatments, golf excursions and any other additional needs you may have, they provide each client with sustainable travel packs that feature personalised travel tags engraved with names and phone numbers, Butlers Chocolate Cafe coffee vouchers and, of course, all requisite travel documents and fast track services. But it doesn’t stop there, upon return, you’ll find a ‘welcome home’ gift, possibly scented candles or a travel inspired Oroko coffee table book to help you come back down to earth after your trip of a lifetime.

But though ‘bucket list’ trips are very much what they’re selling, ‘once in a lifetime’ wouldn’t be a fair description because most return and become regular clients of Oroko Travel.

“We tailor a lot of holidays towards families, and we’ve built up a base of loyal clients that come to us every year. They might have a ski holiday in the winter, a summer holiday, an Easter holiday, maybe a winter sun holiday.

“And they’ll be taken care of by the same travel specialist who begins to get an idea of what they’ve been missing, what they would enjoy, so we can tailor to their specific needs and give them loads of added luxury.”

Of course, not everybody wants to spend long hours on a plane, jetting off to far flung destinations, but if it’s sun, sand and golf you’re looking for, then look no further.

“We work with a lot of luxury resorts that have amazing golf options,” Lynam continues, “for example, we partner with the Pine Cliffs Resort in the Algarve. It has sensational views of the Atlantic while you’re golfing, they have an exceptional kids’ club and an excellent variety of family-orientated accommodation options.

“They also have a golf academy run by PGA professionals, an indoor video swing room and a Junior Golf Camp, so it is a perfect golfing option for families with young children.”

“But no matter what, we’ll take care of your holiday from start to finish.”

Holidays are supposed to be exactly that, so if you like the finer things in life and you would like all the stress removed, why not let Oroko Travel take care of you. Whether you know precisely what you want or are open to suggestion, they’ve got the experience and the expertise to make sure you enjoy it to the fullest.
