Liam Grehan fired a superb five-under 67 to storm into the lead at the Down Syndrome Centre Irish PGA Pro-Am in Abu Dhabi.

In the stableford format, Grehan has 81 points after rounds of 40 and 41 but he has roared into a three-point lead after day two at Saadiyat Beach Golf Club.

The K Club man will look to close out the tournament in the final round which will be played at Yas Links.

Behind Grehan is K Club Professional and former European Tour pro Gary Murphy on 78 points after rounds of 42 and 36 while Brendan McGovern of Headfort is third on 75 points and six points adrift.
